A growing body of evidence-based clinical research is discovering how the body responds to acupuncture and its benefits for a wide range of common health conditions. A lot of people have acupuncture to relieve specific aches and pains, such as osteoarthritis of the knee, headaches and low back pain, or for common health problems like an overactive bladder or hayfever. Other people choose acupuncture when they can feel their bodily functions are out of balance, but they have no obvious diagnosis. And many have regular treatments because they find it so beneficial and relaxing. Charlotte has a particular interest in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders.
Charlotte is a fully qualified acupuncturist and massage therapist who graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with a BSc Hons degree in Acupuncture in 2012, and has been practicing in Jersey ever since.
She is also a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the main governing body for acupuncture in the UK, which ensures high standards in education, practice and hygiene. Charlotte has additional training in the treatment of both male and female infertility, gynaecology, stroke recovery and the treatment of fibromyalgia with acupuncture.
