Channel Island Vouchers Limited (CIVL) is a Jersey based online business, selling consumer vouchers on behalf of local businesses via our website,  
The website was launched in September 2011 and has already established a huge following in the island with around 3,000 unique visitors each day, 6,000 Facebook followers and over double that in email subscribers.   

The Position

We require someone to support our Business Development Manager in building partnerships with local businesses. The position will involve liaising with business owners to secure daily deals and free voucher placements on our website. We do not want to give our business customers the hard sell, but  build strong and lasting relationships to feature website deals that are mutually beneficial. 

Sales will be made by phone, email and in person so good written and oral communication is essential. The candidate must be able to liaise with people from a variety of different businesses from hotels and restaurants, to car garages, beauty salons and chip shops. Existing knowledge of local businesses would also be a distinct advantage but a sense of fun is probably more important! You’ll need a commercial mindset to understand what deals will work for both parties. The ideal candidate will be a self starter who can manage their own workload, remain organised and work unsupervised and on their own initiative.  
As well as the sales element of the job, candidates should have good IT skills, be confident with spreadsheets and have the ability to make changes to our website, publishing new deals and vouchers, as well as creating the daily email that is sent to our subscribers. You will also need to be able to write sales copy to sell the deal to our website visitors. Experience with graphical software would be an advantage, as would an understanding of Facebook and Twitter.

  • Ability to write sales copy for our featured deals
  • Basic Excel skills 
  • Social Media Marketing experience
  • Experience with updating website content (preferred)
  • Experience with image software to create deal images (preferred)
  • Experience with MailChimp (preferred)
  • Please note 5+ years residency required.


Remuneration will be dependent on experience and will be a combination of a fixed salary and a monthly commission based on revenues achieved.  A good candidate should be able to take home £30k + per year.
